Competitive Scholarships Benefits
The Competitive Scholarship Program offers scholarships worth up to $8,000, for which students of any age with grades from 65% (Canada) or 2.5 (US) may apply. The Competitive Scholarship Program is a competition for scholarships, of $2,000 per year, tenable for up to four consecutive years or until the first degree is obtained. Scholarships are applicable towards full-time studies for an undergraduate degree or diploma from an eligible institution.

The Ken Peterson Award for Community Leadership of $5,000 each may also be rewarded to five applicants who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and extraordinary effort and ability to overcome adversity.

Orphan Scholarships Benefits
Provides children of a deceased benefit member with a renewable scholarship for higher learning for up to 4 years to cover tuition and maintenance

Terminal Illness Benefits
An interest-free loan is provided for any individual in the benefit member's family who becomes terminally ill. The total loan can be up to 75% of the Net Face Amount of Foresters life insurance (it must be absolutely assigned to Foresters to the extent of its interest, up to a maximum of $250,000). The loan will be repaid from the insurance proceeds payable upon the insured's death.

Young Family Benefits
Orphan Benefit Monthly Payment For Children Under 18. We know that ensuring your children are taken care of is one of your most important concerns. This benefit pays $300 per month per child to the legal guardian for children under 18 due to death of both parents.

Critical Illness Member Benefits
A $4,000 lump sum payment per benefit membership is provided upon initial diagnosis of one of these Critical Illnesses for any one family member: Cancer (Life Threatening), Heart Attack, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis
